Internship Program
The Internship Program at 352 Media Group is a unique opportunity to obtain experience in the field of Web development. It provides theory and hands-on experience with one of the fastest growing Web development companies in the nation. During the course of the program, interns will develop the skill sets needed to create Web-based applications, while they also get to know the culture at 352 Media Group.
About the Program
The Internship Program at 352 Media Group is held 3 times per year, coinciding with the University of Florida's semesters. Sante Fe students, as well as any others in the Gainesville, FL area, are encouraged to apply also. Students on a different class schedule that UF's will be allowed to adjust their internship schedule during the program as needed. Each semester lasts approximately 14 weeks.
During the internship, interns will gain a deeper understanding of our project development process and the technologies used in active projects. After completion of the internship program, each intern's progress and knowledge base will be evaluated. In many instances, 352 Media Group has offered part-time and full-time positions to interns who have excelled within the program.
The program offers three distinct tracks based on skill set:
GRAPHIC/ WEB DESIGN
Within our organization, designers are responsible for the creation of all graphics, HTML, and CSS within the website. They create the I-Designs (still graphic representation of what the site will look like), they slice & code those graphics into HTML and CSS, they create all UI pages and designs for the site, they create all motion graphics for the site, and they handle the majority of the content integration from previously existing client websites.
WEB PROGRAMMING
Our programmers are problem solvers who love new and exciting challenges. The only constant in their daily work is that there is always a new technology to learn or a new problem to solve. They build anything from large-scale custom e-commerce applications to social networking sites to highly interactive game-based sites. To do this, they first brainstorm with the client and project team to point out any potential trouble spots and make suggestions on how to improve the project. They then architect a plan for how to build the site in the most efficient and effective manner. Finally, they build the site using ASP.NET, C#, and a SQL Server database.
MARKETING
The marketing department is responsible for presenting our company to the public via Web, print, and video. They create advertising campaigns and work to find innovative methods of bringing the 352 Media Group name into the public’s view.
