The search engine “blacked out” its home page today to show support for the other websites blacking out today to protest the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect IP Act (PIPA).



The search engine also features a link on its home page allowing visitors to sign a petition telling Congress not to “censor the Web.”


 Well played, Google. Well played.

The website SOPAstrike.com has a full list of websites that are blacking out today to strike against SOPA, Wikipedia and Reddit being two of them. Reddit visitors will see this when visiting the website:
