You may remember back in 2001 when then Microsoft head Bill Gates prophesized about the future of tablets at the Comdex show in Las Vegas. Just to refresh your memory, here is what he said:

352 Media Group has started a new tradition called "The Race to 3:52", wherein each employee works on something they normally wouldn't be able to work on during business hours. The event takes place over a 24 hour period, and has only two rules: you must do something that helps the company, a client, or your own profession, and you must do something that inspires you. This isn't just for web designers and web programmers... this is a broad set of rules meant to engage us and empower all of us to enjoy our field and share our excitement with our colleagues. I've had a fun week so far with our Microsoft Surface Table. I was able to bring it with me up to Atlanta for the American Marketing Association's Marketing Research Conference. Talk about an attention grabber! The only negative was people were so focused on the table they often didn't even notice our Web development services. [More]

I post a bunch of videos on youtube, and one of the biggest issues I face is music. Adding a music track makes a video so much more professional. However adding the thrilling stock music file called "car chase loop #5" just doesn't do it for me. I want to add music that people know so it really grabs attention. [More]

It's not at bad as the headline would lead you to believe. Evan Blake, one of our business analysts, was asked to join the www.coding4fun.com team at TechEd in New Orleans last week as they showed off the robotic, Windows Phone 7 powered t-shirt cannon they made for the MIX conference earlier this year. We designed the phone's interface for the app, so they wanted us to share our experience with the audience. [More]

It's been a whirlwind week, and it's only Thursday. We have three big things going on with Microsoft this week. The first was the launch of Microsoft Expression 4, which I blogged about on Monday. We designed the website for the product, which is getting rave reviews at www.microsoft.com/expression. Very cool site with a bunch of Silverlight interactions. To cap off the announcement at Internet Week in NYC, Microsoft threw a bash at an awesome venue, which was actually a converted synagogue. Check out the pictures...it was amazing! [More]
