Joe Escobar Diamonds (http://www.escobardiamonds.com/default.aspx) is an established fine jeweler located in Campbell, CA which is in the heart of the Silicon Valley.  They reached-out to the 352 Media Group after launching a new website within the past year.  The issue that they had was that they had their new website built by a small, local web development firm and for the most part, the launch of the new website was a failure.  There were complexities contained on the new website (such as loose diamond selection) that didn’t work at the time their new website was launched.  They were assured by the firm that built their website that they would get the website working properly, but after nearly a year the website still wasn’t working properly and it was apparent that the web firm had exceeded their capabilities and would not be able to get the website working properly.

At that point, Joe Escobar Diamonds took a drastic step.  They decided to take down their (“new”) website, had the 352 Media Group put up a temporary landing page and immediately commence with the building of a new website from the ground up.  Their new and improved website launched last week.

The new Joe Escobar website is not only beautiful from an aesthetic standpoint, but contains the features that they had originally envisioned for their failed website.  In essence, Joe Escobar offers three types of jewelry; manufactured jewelry (jewelry purchased from a manufacturer and resold); Joe Escobar Exclusive designed jewelry and loose diamonds.  In all three cases, potential customers can search for jewelry based on type (bridal, rings, earrings, watches, etc.) and select appropriate criteria for the jewelry type (based on such criteria as price range or specific amenities).

There is an additional challenge when it comes to loose diamonds.  When it comes to manufactured jewelry or Joe Escobar Exclusive designed jewelry, inventory is of no concern since if a piece is out-of-stock, it can either be ordered from the manufacturer or custom designed by Joe Escobar jewelers.  In the case of loose diamonds, each diamond is unique and cannot be replaced, so only actual diamonds that are in stock can be displayed within the search results.  Each morning, Joe Escobar uploads their current diamond inventory to the website to insure that only loose diamonds currently in inventory are displayed.  Potential customers can then search for diamonds based on; carat (range), cut, color, clarity, shape and price range.  Upon performing a search, all diamonds in inventory that meets the user specified criteria will be displayed.
