Altanta Web Design Awards
Although not regional to Altanta, the Webby Awards are the leading international award recognizing excellence on the Internet. The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences presents the awards each year. Over 550 members including Web experts, businessmen, innovators, and creative celebrities make up the organizations body. Noted members include David Bowie, Matt Groening, and Harvey Weinstein.
The 10th Annual Webby Awards attracted more than 5,500 entries including many from top Atlanta Web developers. The 100+ categories included in the competition represent the ever-growing importance and use of the Internet as a tool for not only businesses but everyday lives. Atlanta Web developers will find many relevant categories in such areas as Website, Interactive Advertising, and Online Film and Video.
Members of the IADAS select and judge nominations for most of the awards. However, the Webbys are open to the community vote as well. The People’s Voice, Agency Voice, and Critic’s Voice Awards are all decided on by the online community. Atlanta Web developers can receive national recognition from votes made by their peers in the Atlanta Web design community.
