As part of their life-long learning series, Emory University has developed a professional training program for information technology. Based in Atlanta, the university offers training in several different areas of computer training from basic computer classes to Web programming. The unique and affordable technology courses allow both students and non-students to learn at a world-class university. In addition to the 70 open-enrollment training classes, seminars, and certificate programs offered, Emory also has on-site corporate training for those with organizational needs. Atlanta Web designers who are looking to expand their knowledge of professional development can also take advantage of the courses in communication and project management at the Emory Institute of Professional Learning.
Most courses have between one and four sessions conducted once a week. Several courses are given for the same topic to accommodate different work schedules. Courses in the Web design category include Dreamweaver, Photoshop, cascading style sheets, and HTML. Atlanta Web developers can take advantage of the PHP, XML, ColdFusion, MySQL, and SQL sessions in the Web development group. Adobe® and Macromedia courses are also available for all different skill levels.
